What the calculator models
Built on the 2026 CMS Physician Fee Schedule. Every line item uses official wRVU values, GPCI-adjusted by locality where relevant.
Annual wRVUs from your real visit mix
Set units per code per week (99213, 99214, 99215, G2211, AWVs, ACP, prolonged services, and more) and the calculator computes weekly and annual wRVUs. Add specialty codes (cards, endo, GI, pulm, rheum, derm, GYN, behavioral, hospital medicine) from the extended catalog on Pro.
Gross collections from your conversion factor
Plug in your group's CF (defaults to 2026 Medicare). Payment estimates combine work, practice expense, and malpractice RVUs, adjust each by its locality GPCI, and apply the conversion factor and your collection percentage.
Employed-track bonus math
Models base salary plus a wRVU bonus over a threshold. Supports a fixed bonus rate or tiered bonus brackets. Quality and other variable bonuses are line items. Compares your projected total comp with directional specialty estimates compiled from public compensation reports, not licensed MGMA data.
Owner / partner P&L (Pro Max)
For practice owners and partners: practice gross collections minus monthly overhead, billing fees, variable cost per visit, plus ancillary revenue, divided by partner count, with effective tax adjustment. Five-year projection chart included.
Sample output
Illustrative example: 18 office visits per day, 4 days per week, 46 weeks worked, $230,000 base salary, and $50 per wRVU above 5,200. No other bonuses are included.
Payment assumptions: National (no adjustment), conversion factor $33.4009, and 100% of Medicare. Add-on units are services within visits, not additional office visits. This is a worked example, not a typical earnings claim.

Pick your specialty
One click of the quick-start dropdown fills realistic defaults for your specialty: days per week, weeks worked, base salary, threshold, and relevant codes. Visit volumes start at zero for you to enter. Tweak anything from there. Locality and conversion factor default to 2026 CMS values.
- 2
Tune your code mix
Type visits per week for the codes you actually bill: 99213-99215, 99203-99205, G2211, AWVs, ACP, CCM, prolonged services, hospital codes (99232, 99291, 99238), specialty add-ons. Toggle to annual entry if you prefer. The free tier covers the 8 highest-leverage codes; Pro unlocks the full catalog.

Methodology
All wRVU values come from the 2026 CMS Physician Fee Schedule. The default conversion factor is the 2026 Medicare CF; override it with your group's commercial-blended CF for collections projections. Comp benchmarks are rounded, directional specialty estimates compiled from public Medscape, AAMC, and Doximity reports. They are not licensed MGMA data or precise local-market percentiles. RVUDoc is an educational reference, not financial or contract advice; verify any compensation projection against your actual contract terms before signing or renegotiating.
