Terms of Service
Last updated: May 10, 2026
Welcome to RVUDoc. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Service description
RVUDoc provides a wRVU calculator, compensation benchmarks, an Epic SmartPhrase library, and related tools for outpatient providers. The service is a productivity and modeling aid, not medical, legal, billing, or financial advice.
2. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must be at least 18 and a licensed clinician, clinician-in-training, or person otherwise authorized to use clinical billing tools.
- One human per account. Sharing logins violates these terms.
3. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Upload Protected Health Information (PHI) or any patient-identifying data. RVUDoc is not a HIPAA-covered entity.
- Scrape, resell, or republish CMS data, the SmartPhrase library, or other paid content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the service in ways not exposed by the documented interfaces.
- Use the service to harass, deceive, or commit fraud (including billing fraud).
4. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- Paid plans bill monthly or yearly in advance via Stripe.
- You may cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; we do not pro-rate refunds for cancellation.
- Plan changes are prorated by Stripe when you switch tiers mid-period.
- Failed payments will pause Pro features until payment is updated.
5. Content and intellectual property
- The CMS Physician Fee Schedule, ICD-10, and HCPCS code descriptions are public domain.
- The Epic SmartPhrase library, code commentary, benchmarks, and software are owned by RVUDoc and licensed to you for use in your own clinical documentation. You may paste phrases into your EHR for your own notes; you may not redistribute the library.
- Your saved scenarios remain your data. We claim no ownership.
6. Not medical, legal, financial, or billing advice
RVUDoc estimates wRVUs and downstream compensation based on CMS data and the inputs you provide. Outputs are estimates only. Coding and billing decisions are your responsibility and the responsibility of your employer and any compliance officers. Always verify with current CMS guidance, your payer contracts, and your compliance team before billing.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time by emailing us; data will be purged within 7 days.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email to active subscribers and noted on this page.
